RealLiveLoops have released their 2nd Volume of live acoustic drum loops, featuring over 1500 drum grooves and fills, as well as multisampled drum single hits.

RealLiveLoops Volume 2 features drum loops in a variety of styles, including rock, pop, funk & hip-hop, at tempos ranging from 75bpm to 135bpm. Each drum beat and fill is included in 2 forms: ‘dry’ (unprocessed) and ‘wet’ (high quality digital reverb applied) for maximum flexibility. Use the ‘wet’ loops for a big rock sound, the ‘dry’ loops for a tight funky sound, or add your own level of reverb as required. (more…)

Orange amps, as part of their 40th anniversary in 2008 have re-created their iconic Orange Psychedelic logo from their original new Compton Street shop front. This is the first time the logo has been used in any form since the shop closed in 1973.

Soon after release of the Phanthera microphone in the past year, which quickly became a worldwide topseller, the Brauner community started to ask for a version with variable characteristics according to the Phantom Classic/Phantom V combination. As a logical consequence, the renowned German microphone manufacturer Brauner presented the desired Phanthera V at this year’s Prolight+Sound trade show in Frankfurt two weeks ago.

The Phanthera V impresses with the same qualities as its cardioid only counterpart, bringing along a lively and intense sound quality and highlighting the sonic aspects of the source material in a subtle manner. Built in 1848 by Johann Karl Traugott Berndt in Breslau, the instrument sports a special and unique sound far away from any usual lifeless modern piano sound: The historical piano sports a graceful, charming yet smart and slinky sound hidden in a plain-Jane bourgeois Biedermeier style housing.
